Privacy Policy

This site has no server that stores anything about you, so most of a normal privacy policy does not apply to it. This page says what is actually kept, where it is kept, and what the parts of the internet outside this site can still see.

The short version

There are no accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no email address to give.
Your boards are saved in your own browser's local storage. They are never uploaded, and there is no copy of them anywhere else.
This site sets no cookies of its own — not for sessions, not for preferences, not at all.
There is no analytics and no advertising on this site today. If either is ever added, this page is updated first and the sections below will name exactly what it is.
The only thing that leaves your device is the ordinary web request that fetches the page. Once it has loaded, using the board makes no further requests at all.

What is stored on your device

Everything the board remembers is written to your browser's local storage under this domain, using three keys:

skb:v1 — every board, column and card you have made, including card notes, labels and due dates, plus which board was open last.
skb:personalBoardId — which of your boards is the one the personal kanban page opens, so that page does not create a new board every visit.
skb:theme — light or dark, if you have picked one rather than following your system.

There is no expiry date in any of it. Nothing is scheduled for deletion, because there is no scheduler and nowhere for a deletion to run. It stays until you or your browser removes it. Your browser can remove it without warning, though — see the data-loss section of the terms for the ways that happens and what to do about it.

What is never collected

No name. No email address. No password, because there is nothing to log in to. No payment details, because nothing costs anything. No telemetry, no crash reports, no session recording, no heatmaps, no browser fingerprinting, no advertising identifier, and no third-party embeds — no social buttons, no comment system, no chat widget, no video player, no map.

Most importantly: the contents of your boards are never collected, because they are never transmitted. The card you just typed exists in this browser and in no other place. That is not a promise about how carefully your data is handled on a server — it is the absence of a server.

What the web host can see

This site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Loading any page means your browser makes a request over the internet, and the host has to receive that request in order to answer it. Like every website that exists, that means the host processes ordinary connection data — your IP address, the URL you asked for, your browser's user-agent string and the time — and may keep it briefly for security, abuse prevention and to keep the service running. Cloudflare's own handling of that is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

There is no per-visitor log kept on this side of it, nothing is joined up into a profile, and the contents of your boards are not in any of those requests, because your boards are never part of a request.

Fonts, scripts and other third parties

The site uses one typeface, Inter. It is downloaded once when the site is built and served from this domain, rather than fetched from a font service while you are reading — so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you did. There are no third-party scripts, no external stylesheets, no CDN, no tracking pixel and no iframe.

This is also why the board keeps working when your connection drops: after the page has loaded there is nothing left for it to fetch.

Analytics

There is no analytics on this site at the time of writing. No Google Analytics, no privacy-focused alternative, no self-hosted counter, nothing. If that changes, this section will be rewritten before the change goes live to name the product, say what it records and say whether it uses cookies.

Advertising

There is no advertising on this site at the time of writing, and no advertising code of any kind is loaded. A free tool has to be paid for somehow, so that may change; if it does, the ads would be served by a third-party advertising network, which typically sets its own cookies in your browser to measure and personalise what it shows. That is a material change, so this section would be rewritten first to name the network and link to the controls for turning personalised advertising off.

Deleting everything

Because nothing is on a server, you do not have to ask anyone to delete your data — you hold the only copy, and removing it is complete and immediate.

Take a copy first if you want one. Export → All boards (JSON) writes a single file to your downloads. Nothing below can be undone once it is done.
To delete one board, use the board menu in the app. Undo is available for a few seconds afterwards.
To delete everything, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings — in most browsers that is under Privacy, then something like "Cookies and site data" or "Clear browsing data", where you can pick this site specifically.

Your rights over your data

Data protection law gives you rights to see, correct, export and delete personal data an organisation holds about you. There is nothing here to exercise them against, because no personal data about you is held: there is no account record, no profile and no database. You can already see all of it, in your own browser; you can export it in one click; and you can delete it yourself in seconds. Children's privacy

This is a general-purpose task board with no sign-up, no user profiles and no data collection, so no personal information is knowingly collected from anyone of any age, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no account and no mailing list, so there is no way to notify you directly — that date is the notice. Material changes, such as the analytics or advertising sections above ceasing to say "none", will be made here before the change is live rather than after.
