What we can help with

  • Bugs. Something in the board does not work, an export produces a file that will not open, or a page is broken on your device.
  • Corrections. Something written on this site is wrong, out of date, or unclear.
  • Templates and examples. A layout you keep rebuilding by hand and would like to see offered.
  • Accessibility problems. Anything that makes the board hard or impossible to use.
  • Press, licensing and permissions.

What nobody can help with

A lost board cannot be recovered. Boards are stored only in your own browser, so there is no copy on a server to restore from — not one we are unwilling to look for, one that does not exist. If your browser storage was cleared, the board is gone. The terms explain how that happens, and exporting a JSON file is the only thing that prevents it.

For the same reason there is no password to reset, no account to find, no subscription to cancel, and no deletion request to make — clearing site data in your browser already deletes everything, completely, as the privacy policy describes.

What to put in a bug report

Almost every bug that cannot be fixed is one that cannot be reproduced. Four lines usually fix that:

  • Your browser and version, and whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer.
  • The page it happened on.
  • What you did, in order, and what happened instead of what you expected.
  • For an export problem, the exported file itself — but only if the board contains nothing private, since attaching it means sending its contents by email.

Response time

This is a one-person project, so a reply can take a few days, and email that needs no reply may not get one. Bug reports and accessibility problems are read first.

What happens to what you send

An email is an email: it arrives in an ordinary inbox and stays there until it is deleted. It is used to answer you and nothing else — no list, no newsletter, no forwarding. Please do not send passwords, financial details or anything else sensitive, and remember that the contents of a board are only ever seen by anyone if you attach them yourself.
