The templates, examples and explanations on this site describe a way of organising work. They are general information, written to be useful — not advice about your situation, and not a promise about your results.

General information only

Everything written here about kanban — what the columns mean, why a work-in-progress limit helps, how a template is laid out, what the worked examples get wrong — is a description of a common method, based on how it is generally practised. It is offered as information for a general audience. It has not been written for your team, your project or your circumstances, and it cannot take them into account.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind — not business, management, project-management, legal, financial, tax or employment advice. Do not rely on it as the only basis for a decision that matters. Where a decision has real consequences, take advice from someone qualified who knows your situation.

Not medical or psychological advice

Some pages here discuss why a visible board and a short list of current work can be easier to keep up with than an open-ended to-do list. That is a description of what the tool mechanically does. It is not a medical or psychological claim, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment for any condition — including attention, focus or executive-function difficulties, whether diagnosed or not.

No page on this site claims to treat, manage, improve or alleviate any health condition, and none of it is a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional. If you are looking for help with a health condition, please speak to one.

No guarantee of results

Kanban is a method, not an outcome. Using this board, or any board, does not guarantee that a project finishes, that a deadline is met, that a team gets faster, or that a personal system sticks. What a board does is make the current state of the work visible. What happens next is down to the work and the people doing it.

No guarantee your boards survive

Boards are stored in your browser and nowhere else, so they can be lost without warning and cannot be recovered by anyone. This is important enough to be stated in full in the terms, and the exported JSON file is the only backup that exists.

Errors and omissions

This site is written and maintained by one person, and the material on it is kept accurate as far as is reasonably possible. It may still contain mistakes, and things that were correct when written may go out of date. No representation is made that the content is complete, current or free of error. Corrections are genuinely welcome — send one and it will be fixed.

Where this site links elsewhere, it does so for information. Those sites are not under our control, we are not responsible for what they contain, and a link is not an endorsement of the site or of anything it sells.

Liability

Use of this site and of anything written on it is at your own risk. The limits on liability set out in the terms and conditions apply to this page as well.
